Let Me Ask You a Question: A Quick Survey for Writers About Conferences
With the annual ACFW conference only five weeks away, writers are asking a lot of questions. Are you going? Where are you staying? What workshops are you taking? What are you pitching?
It got me thinking about all-things conference related--and I came up with a few questions of my own. Seven, to be exact--and the last three are super-simple. (How hard is it to remember your name?)
At this point, I'm going to depart from regular blog protocol and ask you to please take a brief survey about writers conferences.
Why?
Well, I'm curious about your answers.
And besides that, your answers will guide upcoming blog posts here at In Others' Words.
And to make it fun, if you take the survey, you have the chance to win a $10 Starbucks card. Tweet about the survey or post about it on your Facebook page, and I'll enter your name into the drawing twice.
Let the Q&A begin!

That was a quick survey. Very nice. :) I hope you don't mind that I filled it out, even though I am not going to ACFW this year. I have done lots of reading, and I am thinking through preparations I'll need to make for next year's ACFW. :) I answered according to that. :)
Jeanne, I didn't make it ACFW specific. Yes, everyone is talking ACFW right now--but I kept this one general to writers conferences. So, I'm glad you filled it out.
Done! Quick, easy and painless. I look forward to hearing what you find out. Blessings!
I completed the survey because I know how aggravating it is to find respondents, but I had to leave the question of how many conferences I attend a year blank because I've never been to one! I've been to conferences for my "real" profession, of course, but never a writing one. I answered for all of the reasons I would want to attend a conference, if I weren't currently living off of government loans.
I will be attending ACFW this year (so much to do beforehand!!) and filled out your survey. The only question I couldn't answer was how many do you attend a year. I haven't attending any consistently to answer that one. :)
I retweeted your tweet! :)
Thanks Beth. :)

I understand about the "how many do you attend a year" question. I know some people haven't attended a writer's conference yet. Maybe it could be an "if you were to" kind of question. Leaving it blank is fine too.
