In My Words: When Life Doesn't Go According to Plan

I'm diverting from my usual manner of blog post because, well, yesterday was one of those kind of days. Actually, take "one of those kind of days" and multiply it by a gazillion-katillion-whatever-is-the-largest-number-ever-discovered-by-someone-more-mathematically-inclined-than-me.
I had every intention of writing a pithy blog post. And I didn't spend my time reading everyone else's blogs because ... um, that would be virtually impossible. And with yesterday being a day that will go down in history as unforgettable--at least in my memory--I didn't even have time to read my favorite blogs ... sigh.
Enough about me.
I hope you are having a wonderful day, whatever that looks like for you.
And I hope you enjoy the Inkygirl cartoon. A picture is worth a thousand words, don'tcha know. So, if you include a cartoon in that definition, this is really a much longer blog post then usual.
In Your Words: How's your day going? What's your advice for getting over "one of those days?"

Beth, I'm sorry you had "one of those days." They can be such a drag. I hope the new day dawns bright, and that you feel a sense of renewed energy and enthusiasm.
Hi Beth,
I'm hanging in there. Hmm, one of those days. Not cool, days. You be nicer to Beth or I'm comin' after you. ;)
Crying helps. Not even kidding. Sometimes I just need to get "it" out. And running. (And of course praying and all that jazz.)
Today is a new day.
~ Wendy
Thank you, Keli and Wendy, for your encouragement.
And Wendy--I did cry. Several times.
It does help.
And even in the midst of all of it--I experienced grace in amazing ways. More to come.
Embracing the new day.
I've had "those days" and they are no fun, so I totally feel your pain. I've noticed they usually come after a fairly long run of great days or coming down from a high point. Hang in there, we're praying you through it.
Ah, the camaraderie of friends. It is a blessing . . .
Since Sunday it's been "one of those days." At least today looks clear and productive.
Ha! Funny cartoon! :)
Hmm, one of those days...My plan for today was to tackle my to-do list and do all sorts of housework. But after hosting three sets of family in the last week, my body told me to do something different today. My new plan? Rest on the couch while my son is at day camp. The cleaning can wait for next week.
Sometimes we have to let go of the sort-of important things and give ourselves permission to rest. Hope you get that chance today, Beth!
You are a wise, wise woman, Sarah.
Today I am spending time with my daughter. First on the list: Going out to breakfast. Next: shopping. Gonna be a good day!
Beth, praying for you. I agree with Sarah. Sometimes, we need to give ourselves permission to get off the merry-go-round of life for a little while and rest/escape/passively process. I hope your day is fun today as you spend it with family!
It's been a better day. How could it not be, with all the encouragement here? And I went shopping with my 10-year-old--so fun!
Today was one of those days for me. Glad things are better for you!
~Debbie
