Hmm. This morning I offered to help another mom who was walking home after dropping her kids off from school with her youngest in a stroller and two dogs on leashes. The only problem was, I also had my dog on a leash. We proceeded to get completely tangled up again and again until we parted ways to go to our respective houses. I'm not sure I made her life less difficult, but at least we had lots of opportunities to chat while we disentangled ourselves, the three dogs, and the stroller.
You offered her companionship.
Sometimes that comes with a few snarls . . . but it's worth it, don'tcha' think?
Ooh, ooh, I've got one - I drove a friend to the car repair place to pick up her car. Okay, sooo, it was only a couple blocks out of my way. But still...
Seriously, though, I love that quote!
Love this quote. :) I'm not sure how I made someone else's life less difficult, unless you count serving my family--cooking meals, cleaning up (a little), doing dishes, etc. :)
Does spending time with a wonderful friend count? :)
so, so well said. Resonates. Thank you, Beth.
You know what counts?
Even thinking about trying to be a blessing instead of a difficulty.
